Bulgaria

Located in the Balkans in south-eastern Europe, Bulgaria borders a full five countries: Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, Greecem and Turkey, and lay on the black sea to the East. Spanning over 110,000 square kilometres, Bulgaria is the third largest country in the region, and contains it's share of beautiful mountains, lavish plains, and magnificent coastlines.
Tourism of Bulgaria largely focuses on the Black Sea on the East coast, which is a great, great shame, as Bulgaria's rich, culture heritage is almost entirely absent in this area. While Varna is the most popular destination in Bulgaria, a traveller looking to immerse himself in culture and experience, rather than England-in-the-sun tourism would be much better served visting the capital, Sofia, Plovdiv in the South, or Montana in the North.
